This is a slightly sturdier fibre, but one with a lovely crimp, that feels like proper wool. The silk adds shine, and creates a beautiful glowing effect to the fibre, and finished yarn. It also softens the blend slightly. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eZwartbles are originally a Dutch breed, but are now found in many other countries. The fleece is much longer than Black Welsh Mountain (and much softer), or Shetland. Staple length is 10-12cm. The crimp is very open, giving this fibre a lovely lofty feel.
