Corriedale, and Lotus rayon fibre. The fibres have been thoroughly combined to help ensure an even composition of fibres in your yarn.
75% Corriedale Wool
25% Lotus Rayon
Corriedale is sourced from New Zealand, and is 25-30microns with a 80-120mm staple length. It has a lovely crimp allowing you to spin lofty yarns.
Lotus rayon is a processed cellulose fibre made from Lotus plants that have been chemically processed to create an extruded rayon/viscose. This fibre is completely biodegradable.
My fibre is hand dyed in small batches, where more than one braid is available they will have been dyed at the same time, using the same dye stock, but my dyeing technique produces braids with subtle variations, no two braids are ever identical, where multiple braids are available they are shown in the additional photographs.
These fibres have been dyed to exhaust using acid dyes, and then rinsed using hot water and detergent. I recommend you hand wash your spun yarn in warm water, using a mild pH neutral detergent. The no-rinse wool washes seems to be the most prone to causing bleeding so are best avoided.
