Hand dyed Cashgora


Dyed by me, in my home in the Welsh hills using acid dyes, these give strong long lasting colours.

The softness of Cashmere, 19-21 microns, with a longer staple length (40-60mm) and more lustre. 

Cashgora goats are produced by crossing angora goats (mohair) and cashmere-producing goats. This fibre has the best of both breeds: staple length and shine from angora with the softness of cashmere.

This fibre is hand dyed in small batches, where more than one braid is available they will have been dyed at the same time, using the same dye stock, but my dyeing technique produces braids with subtle variations, no two braids are ever identical. This fibre was dyed as one length and then split, but there may be variation between the 2 lots available. Fibre my be split in to more than one length.
