Seacell, BFL & Alpaca- Hand Dyed Gradient. 100g

An oops creation, but a happy accident. Seacell with a touch of BFL and Alpaca. Lots of drape, lovely shine, and subtle hints of colour.

70% Seacell (Cellulose Rayon)
15% British Alpaca
15% British BFL (Blue Faced Leicester)

This blend produces a lovely drapey yarn, with a really subtle sheen.
Seacell is a cellulose fibre made from seaweed. The alpaca now used in the blend is British, measuring 28-29 microns.

Hand dyed by me in my home in the Welsh hills using acid dyes, these give strong long lasting colours. This fibre is hand dyed in small batches, where more than one braid is available they will have been dyed at the same time, using the same dye stock, but my dyeing technique produces braids with subtle variations, no two braids are ever identical, where multiple braids are available they are shown in the additional photographs.
